Project "Big Country" - Front Bumper Fab
Plus we have to add the ft floor stringers and the cross bars to mount the seats on.It actually worked out easily once we got the first side bar where we wanted it then just duplicated it for the other side.We didnt use any extra tube either as this 1.75 dom aint cheap compared to HREW.Less than 1 ft of waste tubing and 9 inches of that was on the first bar that we cut long on purpose.

Figured out last night that the front supports will end up bolting through the tub cross-member. It's going to be fun figuring the best way to tie that mount into the frame Confusedcratchhe:

I really like how the front goes through the dash. Makes a very clean install. Are you able to remove the dash after this modification or does it go with the roll cage?

The dash will come off just like before since it fits over the cage.

Now taking the cage out without the dash is a different story. If that need ever comes up I'll cut the cage above the dash and go back with one of the fancy adapters.

Thanks for the compliment - I like it much better this way also.

Keith came up with the title for this - Re-Inventing the Wheel Well - if fits perfectly.

This is something that I have been putting off but have known about having to do it ever since the body went on the truck. When we did all of the wheel tub extensions and other work to the tub it was off of the frame. I thought that we would still have room in the wheel tub even after stretching the rear axle back 10" - I was wrong :banghead:

So here comes the rear flat fender work :rebel: I also bought a tailgate from BergBronco at the M&G and am going to narrow it (mine was too nice to cut, especially cut not knowing if the plan was going to work). Last night we drilled out the spot welds and removed one side of the tailgate (where the hinge is). Tonight I'll get the other side out and start cleaning the tailgate.

When it is done the rear wheel tub will be open in the rear - should look good I hope - at least unique on a Bronco Confusedupergrin:

Here is the twist ... moved the F-O-R-D lettering to the center. We're going to end up chopping aprox 9" off each side so I would have lost the R and D. Plus we'll end up cutting out the rust under the lettering and the tailgate will be solid.

I cleaned it up and Keith came over after work. We switched the lettering over and came up with our game plan making the new tailgate mounts. Tomorrow we'll work on getting the wheel wells done, chop the tailgate, and start on the mounting frame work.

And dont worry FORD is perfectly centered as you cant go by the bolt holes in the handle as they arent. He He.This way nobody can ask what year Heap you are driving. This was actually a pretty rust free tailgate except the pasenger side 2 spots once the paint was removed.:thefinger:
