My first "fab" work ... kinda

My high lift has had no foot ... so I took some 1/4" x 4" wide steel and cut two peices 6" long welded them together and some old tabs I had laying around and made this :rubeyes:

Its a nice start JP, but I would weld another peice to it too make it thicker. That looks like it would bend with the weight of the truck on it. These jacks are prone to that anyway. Another good thing to take with a hi lift jack is a wratchet strap or chain. With a long travel supension it will not get the tire off the ground. I also like too keep another mechnical jack(bottle or screw type) to get just the axle off the ground. Just my 2C

Looks like your welding has gotten a little better than the last pics. Practice makes perfect. If it looks good, then it probably is good.
