Transfer Case Issues
#1
Driving at highway speeds say 45 mph and above the transfer case on my 73 just kicks out of gear. Shop says the James Duff shifter is worn but I can't see how this would let it kick out of gear. Any thoughts or help?

That is a common problem. I used a small bungy strap to keep a little tension on the lever to keep it in gear. Someone sells replacement detent springs for the transfer case. Just can remember if it was the Grave Yard or Wild Horses. They are not hard to install, but not guaranteed to fix the problem 100% of the time.
