Are you going to move your entire fender forward? Have you chopped the hood yet?

SC74 Wrote:Are you going to move your entire fender forward? Have you chopped the hood yet? the hood never got chopped, just tappered. the fenders will get cut in 2, spaced apart, then fully welded back once a filler piece is made.

Tappered is chopped, right? How did that go?
I debated whether to stretch the fenders or shorten the fenders, but chose the hood just b/c it didn't have a body line to mess with. You going to break some metal to match the fender or have a spare fender willing to donate?

i have a highlander fiberglass hood, so all i did was cut the sides down to match the tapper.i cant give up any space in the front so i have to move my clip forward to get back what i would lose. the fenders will get new metal broke to fit...i dont have any donor fenders to use, or i would do that. i think we are moving them about 1.5-2" forward.

Sounds good. I ended up with a 1" difference. I couldn't have lost another inch though.

Are we working on this tomorrow Chuck? Gonna hit up LKQ on my way down to snag a hitch and maybe a radiator fan. Let me know if you need anything besides a miracle.
