Garage Project
#1
Well I've finally been able to start with the shop project. I had the timber dropped a couple of weeks ago. I spent a couple days before Christmas cutting a splitting to get the pile pictured. I did the splitting with the maul and my wife and boys did the stacking. That netted 2 short bed Chevy and 5x10 trailer loads, and 2 loads on my truck. My buddy brought by the splitter for the forked pieces and the remaining logs, which was another Chevy truck and trailer load. All is clear except for one tree left in the woods, which may be split and delivered this weekend depending on the weather.

The builder was by this afternoon and hopes to get the footings dug tomorrow. I can't wait!

The plan is for a simple 28x30 built to match the house design.

thats a nice size. should have plenty of room.
If you can't fix it with a hammer and a welder then your gonna need a new one!

with all his rides, he'd need a 40x60 Smile

bet you are super excited about the garage. i am very blessed to have the setup we built a few years ago. Contrary to JayT's line of thinking, garages definitely are NOT overrated.
