Turn and Burn???
#41
I can just load it up in one of our planes and air drop that sucker right to your yard. It's pretty accurate +/- 100 feet! Could turn out to be a nice centerpiece in the living room.

me too Sad

Looks like we have a weiner!!

Chuck has worked hard on this site and as a reward, let's do a little something for him.

His rig needs to have the following done:

" ill be looking at installing the cage 3.5 lift and removing the 5.5 i have now, building twin sticks, and dual exhaust maybe fab a onboard air tank(i have a couple) and replacing worn ujoint driver front lol "

Sounds like a day job that has a lot of different things to do. Please PM me or let me know if you plan to come.

As for tools needed (at the moment), maybe another 1/2" air gun, another 4-1/2" grinder, and if anyone has a fancy u-joint press (i usually use the vice or the shop press).

Don't forget to tell us if you plan to bring a side to munch on (and what it would be so that we don't have duplicates). I'm not a Beer drinker, so if you are, it will be BYOB- but remember the drive home!

I've got 1.5 acres, so there will be plenty of parking along the driveway. Who's in???

BTW- if you don't feel like you have any mechanical skills, come anyway. Don't let this intimidate you. Everyone who comes will be a huge help!

thanks guys...here's a quick list(keep in mind..the suspension is the most important deal)

completely bolt in roll cage

replace ujoint on drivers side

inspect and repack wheels bearings(both sides)

remove 5.5" leafs and install 3.5" leafs

remove 5.5" coils and install 3.5" coils/Duff coil mounts

install new radius arm caster bushings

install one of the 2 adjustable track bars...which ever works best for angles

grease all bushings in leaf springs/shackles

fab up air tank mounts/small skid plate

I'll probably have the dual exhaust and twin sticks done(maybe)

install CJ mirrors on side on windshield frame

might have to replace front and rear shocks too...
I have the long travel front shocks w/f250 towers. the shocks are too long now and will bottom out once we lower the truck. not sure what length of shock i will need once lowered.

this is a basic list, may change a lil as i might be forgetting something

sounds very do-able. now we just need to see who is on board. not sure what kind of metal you are going to need for the air tank bracket work. i have some stuff here, but not a whole lot. getcha some shocks and we can swap those out at the same time.

Well, I have heard back from Nick H, Nick (SC bronco), and Clay. So between them, Chuck, and me we will have 5 people here. I know that Aisel and Chuzie can't make it. Who else is game? BTW, wive's are welcome to come up- but my wife won't be here- they are more than welcome to hang out in the shop or the house, or even go to Concord Mills mall about 10 miles up the road- but you didn't get that suggestion from me Big Grin
