It has been several months but I'm back on this project again.
Fabricated new nerf bars with rock skis. These are all built out of roll cage tubing.
Welded in the shock mounts, cut the rest of the radiator support and fit in the dual trans coolers on the pass side and the oil and ps coolers on the drivers side. The fans go in front since there pushers. The fans are from a Nissan titan, I have several.
Next up is to drill and mount the gas tank, drill the front wheel well's for the shocks to pass threw. Then the cage's can come out to be painted. While that's being done I will finish all the body work and put in the bed liner. More to come...

I would only drill it when it was full of gas:hysterical:
Installed the gas tank, welded up the last of the holes from the spare tire rack, fixed all the rust holes in the windshield frame, stripped the inner fenders and finished the mods to the radiator support. Pulled the engine cage back out to strip and paint it. Put new axle bearings/seals on the rear shafts. Put rust treatment on the inner fenders, windshield frame, rear quarter patches. More to come....

I wish, starting the body work next. Need to get the fenders and grill back on so I can build the front bumper.

Sanded down the inner fenders and finished modifying the radiator support. Once the radiator, 2 trans coolers, engine oil cooler and ps coolers are mounted I can fill in any gaps to optimize air flow. I will be painting the engine bay this week.
Dry fit the fenders and wanted to see if the old grill fit better than the one I had on the roadster. It does but I need to work on the dent in the drivers side.
I forgot how stiff these fiberglass fenders are. I had used race weight ones in the past but they cracked and I got a good deal on these. Going to be fun getting them fit and finished properly.

Ok with the help of my wonderful wife I have made some more progress on my truck. She painted the engine bay to finish off the inside tub stuff. I will need to do the floors next along with the spots on the frame where the cage tie in and rock ski's mount. I added a seat belt bar and there are tie in's on the floor to mount the seats to. All the axle parts are ready other than needing brake pads I will have both axles completely back together this week. I started tearing into my engine and was very happy to find it super clean and will not need any work other than to fix a slightly leaking rear main seal. The engine cage is out to be painted and the main cage is coming out next. Other than the out side of the body panels the rest of the truck is being painted with SEM heavy duty paint to prevent any rust. This truck will always be a wheeling rig so rust prevention and ease of repair is more important than being pretty. I spent some time with a hammer and dolly and have mostly fixed the dent in the grill so it will be reused. Spread some all metal bondo on the patches I put in the dash after moving the glove box over. Soon I will be buried with smoothing out the body to get it ready for paint.
