My little mule, Pe'pe
Not even sure where I left off. All the brake lines are cut, flared and run. Bleed out and working. The engine bay is mostly done. All the gauges are installed. Door are assemble with new key cylinders. Took a ton of time to find a good condition door latch to use. I think I put the doors together 5 or 6 times each till I had had a good working set. Got the spare mounted but have run into problems with the tool box I planed for the drivers side. So I may go back to the backpack tool bag so it will clear the spare tire. Seats came in. I went with a black and gray combo with a neoprene covering. Of course one seat came in with the wrong color. So before I can mount them and the consul they all need to be here.
Next is the wiring work. Will be slow going for a while.

Ok, so I know I have been very quiet lately. Mostly because if I'm not at work building custom vehicles for people I've been in my shop putting mine back together. No time for play, rear shocks are on, front go on tonight. 90% if the wiring is done, just front off road lights left to put in. The wiring has taken allot of time to set up the way I wanted. If you look at the console you will see all the switches are in except for the audio. All gauges are in and working, this did make putting the dash wiring harness back in really hard. Plus some set backs like a bad heater fan/cable having to be swapped out is really fun. Due to the lack of time I have side lined the fuel injection system for now. The fuel pump and lines are run but will be capped off for now. I rebuilt my carb and once the exhaust is built this weekend I hope to try and start it next week.
For a sound system I skipped the radio, it never got any reception anyway and with all the dust the cd always skipped.
I'm using an Ipod threw an amp to 6x9 speakers in the doors. The window cranks are gone so I will use that space to install the speakers. Stay tuned for pics of that.

I dig the tilt wheel Smile

Time crunch is the word for sure. April will be here soon- hope all comes together without issue! Crossing my fingers on mine.

Digging the work- can't wait to see it. What's the jump start do- battery isolator?

LOL, tilt wheel isnt tilt. Its just sitting on there. Haven't had time to bolt it down.
I dont care for isolator's, Ran one for years rated to 140 amp (my alt is rated to 160a). I got stuck in a mud hole and winched out with the engine running. The isolator didnt work after that. I posted up the dual battery system we use here at work on all drive by wire systems. When the engine is running the batterys are connected with a solenoid. When the engine is off it shuts off and isolates the 2 batterys. The toggle switch connects it to jump off the primary battery. The winch and off road lights are all on the aux batt. Everything else in on the primary. Very cheap to build and repair.
I'll be sandblasting and overhauling the bumpers soon, I need to get it running soon. It hasnt run in 2 years. I'll offer up my extra parts if anyone wants to come wrench for a day:toothy12:
I'm not sure which of us has more to get done, either way you have to drag yours up to the show!

Had a good couple of weekends, got the engine up and running. Sounds great, buttoned up a few leaks and is good to go.
Got the rear end filled and rolling on new sneakers. Sandblasted and stripped my front bumper and hope to paint it this week. Going to finish off the front end by the weekend. The glass guy is coming on sat. to put in a new windshield.

You don't do your own glass? Um, why not?

Good work! What all do you have left? Will you drive or trailer it to the SC?
