If the bolt head fits and not the nut, will a standard nut (not the fat nylock one) work? Then you could cut the bolt to exact length and locktite it cratchhe:
Ok that's were I was confussed then. As for cut of the bolt at the nut. Theoritically you should leave at least to 2 threads showing as a safety factor espcialy with a nylock cause there locking mechanism is at the top. There is an alturnative to nylocks. We call them pinch nuts its a lock nut but are much shorter than a nylock a lot of nascar teams are using them now. Worth a thought
