Check that the back window goes up and down, these are only power windows. The key switch in the tailgate moves the window as well as a switch next to the heater/ac controls. The doors fenders and hood fit from a 73-79 truck, the grills are different on the 73-76 but will fit. Except for the drive shaft, rear quarter panels, top, tailgate, and a few other parts these share the 78-79 Truck parts, they are plentiful. Lock in the hubs, and shove the transfer case shifter all the way forward and make sure the 4wd works. These can range in price from 1000 to 2500 in the condition you are talking about. Had a friend sold his in very good shape for over 6k last year.
Check the bottom of the tailgate for rust, these can be hard to find and the replacements need 'tweaking' to fix right.
Hope this helps, feel free to ask questions, good luck.
Thanks a lot!!!
Thats exactly the kinda stuff I was looking to know!
Sounds like one of the biggest things I should be concerned about then is the tailgate and the top. I'm guessing that only the top from another 78-79 Bronco will fit this thing? Also, is there usually a reason that the rear window stops working? Motor goes bad, switch, wiring, anything specific? That really doesn't faze me as long as I can get parts for it! Driveshafts also shouldn't be that big of a deal, because I can always go to someone like 'Toms Custom Driveshafts' and get him to make me one correct?
Thanks again for the help, I appreciate it!
