I bought 1 peice of u chanel at home depot and that is what they are welded to. I drilled and bolted the chanel to the hinges and welded the bolt heads to the chanel so they are permanent. this is just how i did it. you can work out your own attachment method. Gotta admit it looks made for the opening.
