Thanks all for your advice.
Most of today I tried rebuilding the Holley 600 with a kit, and learned quickly that carb rebuilding is something I should watch a few times before doing on my own. cratchhe:
Went to Advance and splurged on a new Edelbrock 1406 600cfm. Turns out installing a new carb is right up my alley. I even tuned it to passable specs without a vacuum gauge or any kit. I wonder how much better it can get with some fancy tooling. It already runs better than the Holley when the Holley was working fine.
Onward. Need to do disc brakes, exhaust, and find someone who wants these TSL 35x14.50 tires.
Thanks again, all.
