Well, this happened yesterday. I was driving to work and I was coming off the highway exit ramp when I lost my brakes doing around 50mph
hock:. I pressed the brake peddle and it went striaght to the floor. Luckily the light turned green and I was able to swerve around a couple cars without having to engage the E-brake. I drove about another mile to work (slowly), pulled into the parking lot, jumped out and found that the rear rubber brake line from the axle to the frame was just barely touching the exhuast which burned a hole through it. So with a pair of Robo grips and some Channel locks (only tools I could find at the office) I was able to pull the line off. I went to the local Parks bought the new part installed it in the parking lot at work. Did I mention that it was +100* and I was laying on the black asphalt. I did not have a wrench to bleed the brakes so I drove home (carefully) and Chuck came by before the CB meeting and helped me bleed the lines out. I was able to drive it to the meeting, and all is well.:xyxthumbs:
