The vette cylinder can be used for a 4 wheel disc setup. if you are going disc/drum, i've had great results with a stock 76-77 master cyl, as those trucks came from the factory disc/drum.
Irmo, you can put an aftermarket roller cam in your 72 block, but you are going to be talking $$$. I'd keep it flat tappet and spend some money on some good heads/machine work. An engine build is only as good as the builder who does it. Make sure whoever does it can resize rods, has a nice boring machine, decks all the surfaces, etc. It would take quite a while when we rebuilt an engine (mostly performance stuff) at the shop I worked at years back.
