We have CB members who live in Greenville. I think Tim's idea of staging there is excellent. It somewhat centric to most of the parks and makes for a reasonable choice.
Concern has also been voiced regarding the long leg from Morris Mountain to Knoxville on Day 2. It is about 255 miles and is the longest leg of the entire event. I have looked at this a million different ways and I just don't see any way around it without compromising the quantity of parks desired in the amount of days allotted as well as on the scheduled dates. At this point, this event is planned around many different factors and cannot be shifted with seriously compromising the integrity of the event as a whole. Placing a positive spin on the issue, I feel a long leg is a huge accomplishment after a couple days of wheeling. Remember, this is HELL WEEK and it is going to be awesome!
Folks, let's get some more chatter going on this event. If you have questions or concerns, let's get this out in the open now.
Personally, I am stoked about the whole thing and can't wait for April! As much as I have been hating my Bronco lately and seriously wanting to set it on fire, it is stuff like this that rekindles my passion and motivates me to get back in the garage and turn some wrenches!!!
