Raleigh Bronco Bash 2009

nhopman Wrote:Chuck,

The prizes/giveaways should not the reason to have a get-together or an event, getting together and hanging out with fellow Bronco owners is what it's about.

I also think that with the economy the way it is now and is going to be for the coming year, I wouldn't expect too much in the way of sponsorship anyway. I say you should try to have both and not worry about getting a bunch of prizes together.

Just my 2¢

Nick

I like to go just to show out. Not that my truck is all that awesome on the trail, we don't get into those situations, but it beats a minivan. The prizes are last on the list. Actually, the tour of Carpenter's facility in Concord at the M&G was worth the trip. A prize in itself. For those that haven't been, its worth a look. I like the idea of more events. Gives everyone a chance to choose which one or ones they want to attend.

I was thinking of having a tech session at the bash. We should be able to use the rear bay with a lift at the 4 Wheel Parts store. I think it should be in the morning and last about 2 hours or so. What would be a good fix to demonstrate? Rear disc brake set up? Looking for input. carl w.

Also looking for other fun things to do.

Rear disc conversion would be good. Thinking about doing that one. Or a disc brake on the rear drive line for an e-brake. Parts list, etc would be very helpful.

Sorry I'm late in chiming in but I agree with keeping both events and David and I will help Matt and Liz with whatever we need to do for Charlotte location.....would like to come up with a more public location for people to drop in....any ideas?

Do we have an exact date yet for that? .....maybe the last weekend in March (I don't have a calendar in front of me)

I like Carl's ideas for Raleigh.....I would like to come up with something for Charlotte event that would get some involvement as well.....

I sure hope there's a M&G in Charlotte. I can drag the "Horse" thru G'ville and see SC & 744
and swing down by Lake Wateree and see my lady friend!!! And maybe get back to Georgia in time to go to work Monday!!

Hey cuz, I wanted to come last year and it sure looked like ya'll had a good time, so I went back and googled it, it said 414 miles and 6 hr. 57 min. That's a lot of windshield time, a day of vacation, 2 nights on the road, etc!!!

I'm not saying no, but it's not likely!!!!
