Any B2 owners?
#41
I have 2 89 bII's I have had one for a year mostly stock and I got another 2 weeks ago for 400 bucks. It has good potential. Has 3" boddy lift, recently changed fuel pump 32" super swampers on rear (and I dont know why but 31 super swampers on front which I will change b4 I put into 4wd), Dual flowmaster side exausts. The clutch us slipping steering is loose ( have a whole new mechanism from the self serve bone yard to replace it with) starter makes noise( I also happen to have a 4.0 starter laying around so thats the clutch I will put in) and passanger side drive shaft u-joint is broken. I might put a 4.0L from a 91 - 94 explorer into it but have only done a 2.9 for 2.9 swap and dont know of the electrical problems I will have to figure out. Even so I am seriously considering buying a 91 explorer with good engine as a parts donor. I will also swap out the front end if I get it

I thought I posted in here before. Guess not. Anyways here's my ol b2. This thing has gone through a list of changes over the years I've had it. It's been in my family for 18 or so years. I've been driving it since I was 16.

And my latest project was swapping in a 2000 explorer 8.8 with disc brakes. Here is a picture of me welding the spring perches on the 8.8

Did you give it a good off-road test when it was lowered and 2wd so you have something to compare to after all the work is done?

Nothing more than dirt roads when it was lowered. It would handle curves like a sports car though. I wouldn't dare take curves at speeds I used to do now that its lifted. Way too top heavy now.
