Hey you NC guys
#1
Anybody from NC buy and register a bronco (1970's) that had an out of state title? Did it require the vin inspection?
As of this year nc passed a law that required all out of state titles to have the vin's inspected. This bill was aimed at classic or high value cars. I dont think its required for your plan old beater.
Thanks for the help.

Yup ... I brought my '66 here from New Mexico.
I got plates OK but to get my title back I have to make an appointment
within 1 year and have some special inspector go over it.

I still need to do this ....

Before you do, be sure to inspect the frame for the vin. It must match the one on the glove box door.
This is what I was afraid of. Thanks for the info.

My 69 came from OK, no tags until I had it inspected by a dmv inspector, basically he just wanted to make sure the vins did match and either all or part was not hot. He was no problem and came out to my place to look at the bronco. The good deal is NO MORE inspections for anything. I am doing an off frame and adding a 4bt. He asked about the plans, said at that age I can do what I want with no interference from dmv. I have my tags so I guess I am done with dmv!
