with my dually coming home from maryland this weekend. we hauled a car to MIR to run in the 275 class. qualified 5th with a 5.22 at 136 mph
blowed the tires off in the 1st round. left and around 2:30am i hit a deer . didnt do a lot of damage but its the nicest truck ive ever had and also the 1st deer ive ever hit. :banghead:

You've gotta be kidding me!!! On a "good" note, tell me that the ins will pay for a new bumper?!
a 5.22 is a great time! how'd the rest of the HRE/THRS boys do?

And people wonder why I hunt. That sucks Mike hopefully the ins will come through. My buddy hit one a couple of months ago on his motorcycle he was fine but totaled his bike. A shame it had to happen to such a nice truck

That really sux. But it is getting to be that time of year. In a few months the rut should be in full. If the weather doesn't cool off, the bucks will drive the does all night long.

im gonna try and get the ins co to write me the check so i can fix it myself. i'd buy an aftermarket bumper with the money. ranch hand, fab fours , etc.

That's exactly what I was thinkin. Sounds like a great time to upgrade to provide plenty of armor to give those deer second thoughts next time they see ya. :biggthumpup:
