Hauler Tires
#1
What's everyone's preference for their hauler tires? Got a Flat (prolly picked up some glass/junk from the taurus when I picked up the trailer) on the Excursion.

Looking at it, I really should get 4 tires, although 2 will do fine for a while. Currently, it's sporting Uniroyals. I'm used to the Michelins, but the sidewalls leave a little to be desired for my liking. Confusedcratchhe:

What's everyone running and what do you like best? (Note, it's our DD, but also drags our rigs whenever we go).

You like them Toyos? BTW, What rear end is that?

Chuck, I think it's against all rules to put Firestones on Ferds these days, aint it?! lol... That's a great deal! I don't imagine that I'll be putting many track miles on them though... Just a couple passes as I crush a dodge dually that we know... :hysterical:

JP, I think I want a speed rating of R or higher...

I'm very happy with the Toyo's. *cough* except the price *cough*. I'm sitting near 50K on this set with lots of burn outs and abuse. Its about time for a new set.

I've run a variety of tires, and these have more road manners than BFG AT. Toyo AT or street tire would be another option. The rear is a Ford 10.50.

So, the local tire shop tells me that the Nitto Terra Grappler will be the best tire I ever put on The Bus... Anyone run these before? @ $140/tire they look pretty damn good... E load range, decent lugs, quiet on pavement... :hmmm:
