Aluminum rims have no place around rocks!
#1
So my rig has been sitting on base ever since we returned from URE in November. Been flying my butt off and have not even had a chance to clear her up. Went out there yesterday and had 3 flat tires! Got enough air in them to drie to the auto hobby shop where I determined the leaks were where the bead meets the rim.

Got some rim sealer on there and I was good to go but I was stupid for thinking I could get away with airing down to 10psi with aluminum rims and no bead locks and hit those rocks as hard as I did.

Lesson learned. I now have a set of steel rims I need to clean up and I think I will have Chuckles put some beadlocks on them for me.

Joseph hooked me up with an old set on the spares he got me. They are old and crusty but solid and functional. I bet I could blast and paint them. My rig is not a show truck so the pitting does not bother me.

I will be looking to get rid of the aluminums but also need to consider how or what I will mount my 2 spares to as well.
