Thanks all!!! Looks like the earlier procedure was inconclusive. So today I'm waiting on the lung surgeon to make a stop by to set up the next procedure. They will be taking a larger piece of the infusion, this will most likely cause the lung to collapse so they will have a tube inserted in my side to keep it inflated.
Right now I just want to know what this is so we can move forward.

Hate to hear when something that seems like a simple problem ends up being this serious. Glad you caught it in time. I know you will come through it OK. Hang in and let us know if there's anything we can do.

Just an update: The Doc's are consulting, but both the Radiologist and the Surgeon concur that the biopsy attempts would be too risky for someone of my age and of apparently improving health. They want to rule out that this inflammation was not Lymphomic or autoimmune.
But I'm feeling really great. I'm up and about with my appetite beginning to return. I hope to get down to the courtyard this afternoon for some fresh air. Maybe it want be long before they make a conclusion and send me home.

Well I'm still kicking. They decided to perform one last PET scan. They only do those Mon-Fri, so I get to stick around till Mon morning. My best guess would be maybe a release Tues.
On another note, the Fri I was admitted, I received my recall notice to the plant. I had to contact them to put me on a medical hold until the Docs release me.

The PET scan lit up like a Christmas tree. The Docs found a place on C7 on that was easily accessible for a biopsy. They preformed that today, so I have a bit of a stiff neck tonight. I hope they get a result from the lab pretty soon. Then I can get a diagnosis,a treatment plan, and hopefully I will get to go home soon.
