one thing that Janet mentioned was...anytime we are there and want to lend a hand on clean up... she can offer free day passes, and logs our hours and people helping to what CB4x4 has volunteered that season.it doesnt have to be a "work weekend". so anyone that goes to ure can still donate some time to helping them out, she has tools, passes, and would really love to see ppl step up and help. she offered a bag and free passes...so we said "heck yeah!"

For those of you that don't know, the forest service relies on our volunteer hours to allocate funding from congress for the subsequent fiscal year. Each man-hour equates to $$$ for the Uwharrie budget.
For example: There were 40 people at the work day last Saturday. Assuming all worked approximately 8 hours each (320 man-hours), Uwharrie will be awarded almost $2,500.00!!! Sure, that does equate to somewhere in the ballpark of $8/hr but we have fun helping out and it is mutually beneficial for all parties involved.

sweet! thats good news. i could always take 4 wheeler for day trip and tie trash bag to it and pick up trash.
If you can't fix it with a hammer and a welder then your gonna need a new one!
