Here I am!

Liz, great to hear from you....Sounds like you are in good spirits. Great job with the one-handed typing. I've been "huntin and peckin" those keys all my life. But, I bet you are better one-handed than I am with two. Have you started the physical therapy yet and how is that going? Will continue to send up prayers for your speedy recovery....

Thanks everyone, I want you to know how much all your kind words mean to me. This can be pretty frustrating at times -- Matt can tell you that patience is not a strength of mine -- and when I get down, I go back and read all you posts to cheer up!

Got the "all clear" from on my lungs yesterday -- if you can call ten seconds of listening to me breathe after a 2+ hour wait in the lobby a real exam! The big appt will be on Friday when I see the surgeon, so I'll keep y'all posted on how that goes. Meanwhile, what a way to get out of trail work days, huh? You know y'all are going to have to make up for it because I was going to work my butt off!!

So I may become a Ford convert after all, Matt is fixing up the full-size for me since it's our only automatic. My only Mopar now is the RV! Matt bought a motor for the Ranger which will be our daily driver. It's being delivered on Friday.

Best wishes to all. You guys are the best!

Nope, I'm on "do not move that arm" orders for at least 6 weeks (2 down, 4 to go), then we will start PT sometime after that.

Thanks, Mike! I type about 90-95 wpm with 2 hands, so even with 1 I'm pretty good! :xyxthumbs:

Follow-up went well, x-rays look good, will be out of work another 4 weeks with a re-evaluation in 2 weeks. Will start weekly PT for the hand only which is still very swollen, arm/shoulder PT will not start for another month at least. Thanks to all for keeping me in your thoughts and prayers!

Just wanted to let everyone know that I had another follow-up with the surgeon yesterday and was cleared to return to work this Friday. Also... no more sling! Confusedupergrin:

Lots of PT ahead as there is still a lot of swelling so mobility of hand, elbow and shoulder is poor, but I am getting there!

Thanks again for all your support.
