First Annual Bronco Bash at the Beach

went and got my beach pass today. Rode out on the beach. It was a madhouse! Typical for the holiday weekend. Sand gets really churned up with so many people.

I'll prolly come by Friday evening, for sure Saturday and maybe Sunday. Don't think I'll camp. Is there a particular area of the park we should pick as the target area since the beach is around three miles long?

For the out of towners, Island Tackle and Hardware is a great place to get passes and supplies. They are good folks!

Also, is it OK to tell people that drive Bronco's about it if they're not members?

I can bring a couple a bags of charcoal or whatever else is needed.

Gumby, any idea what time folks will start arriving on Friday 24th? Unless my scheduled rotation changes between now and then, I am off on Friday and working Saturday and Sunday....Depends on what time I need to be at work on Saturday as to whether I campout on Friday night. Because Lowe's work schedules are only posted a week in advance, I won't know what time I need to be at work on the 25th until Saturday 18th....Believe me, it makes it pretty hard to do any advance planning!! cratchhe:

There is no certain time for people to show up. There is a marker that has the number 15 on it. You have to camp past that. Down a little further is a curve and we will probably gonna setup there. I will have my green bronco and you can't miss shags' booger. I will be heading down there probably around 3 or 4. I will post up for sure when I know exactly what time i will be there. I think shags is gonna help me out on this one and meet some people there if I cannot be there right away.
Chuck: You will need to get a pass but with it being the slow part of the season one should be good for the entire weekend. The only thing they can tell you is to go get another one not kick you off the beach.

By all means if you see anyone around town jdowns invite them down and they can meet the club and possibly get them signed up and join us.

as of now my wife cant get off work for sat. she is still trying..were hoping to make it down

Theres a chance I may ride down for the day.Won't be on the Bronco however.

Here is a little list of things I usually take when I camp.

Firewood/burn barrel
Tent
Cooler/drinks food
Grill/charcoal
Chairs
Spare fine thread 3/4 nuts
Locktite
Cotter pins

Basically anything you need for camping. There is a store on the island we can run to if need be for anything.
