Tuffy Security Console Installation
#1
I purchased the Tuffy security console below for my EB:

The mounting seems a little odd to me. The back bracket raises the console up a lot. How far forward have people been mounting it?

I did not use the back bracket and just mounted it flush instead. I think that bracket is make for CJ's. My cup holders are about an inch from the hump in the tunnel.

Hmm, when I lay it down flush it sits on the seat belt mounts.

Ahhh... I don't have factory belts so that's why mine worked out so easily.

I decided to mount it on top of the belt mounts and it works fine. That was really the only option that seemed to work. The cup holders in front would not allow it to slide forward enough to clear the belt mounts.

It sits level, is solid, and does not impede the belt buckles. Sometimes I guess it's best to just go the practical route
