Spark Plug wire installation

I think im brain dead. I have a 1996 5.8L Bronco. I have changed the plugs, cap and rotor. I now need to install new plugs. I read the firing order is 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8. If I start at the number one position on the cap does number two position counter clockwise go to the third piston? Confusedcratchhe:

This is what I found for a 5.8L, but it does not match your firing order. I'm going to look some more to see if I find anybody else with your order.

Removed the old diagram.... Here is the correct one that matches your firing order.
