3g altenator

Hey guys have any of you installed a 3g altenator on a centach harness. I'm also trying to fing the pigtail to plug in to the relay any help would be awsome.

Best reference available but you will have to dig out your centech diagram as well. Since you are not on an EFI harness I can't offer help with the pigtail aspect.

i have the centech installation manual at home, i can check it when i get off work. i know i installed one on my brother in laws 1/2 cab 6cyl...but it was all stock, wiring,etc.

Got this from an old post from classic. This sounds right, but I can verify on mine when I get home.

I finally got the alternator v-belt pulley on and spaced out properly. So now I just needed to get the wiring done. I got the 175 mega fuse in and was just looking for a 12 volt wire for "I" on the alternator. After talking to tech support at Centech, he told me to use the green "REG S" wire. I had a blown fuse was why I couldnt find it in the first place. DUH. Hooked it all up and wa-la, 14.5 volts. Took it to my buddies battery store and put it on the tester. It pulled 60 amps at idle before the belt started squeeking. Then we revved it up and it pulled 160 amps at 14 volts. No belt squeeking. Looks like its working!

I left the large yellow alternator wire unhooked. Just need to install a volt meter and I'm done.
Hope this helps anyone else with the same set up. Just follow BC Broncos wiring schematic and all will work.

I'm not sure about the harness you guys are using but if you have to ''modify'' your wiring like I did on my 84 just pm me your e-mail addy and I''ll send you the diagram I used.

Why do you need a pigtail? Can't you just find some wire of the correct gauge and loom it up yourself?

Checked my rig

I did use the Green "Reg S" to "I" Terminal on Alt.
Then followed BC Broncos diagram for the rest.

Im Missing the connector and its not a standard connector. Then without the connector just looks half ass and just piss me off.
