now that the season is over , who tagged a big buck this year ?
i shot a small one and let probably 25 doe walk waiting on a big buck ive seen on my camera everyday. well he never showed his face during daylight. maybe next year. lol
i don't hunt but i saw a really nice 6 point stick his neck out along 485. fortunately he started out after i passed him. i think someone tagged him the expensive kinda way.

As they used to say in Mississippi, "that's a nice'un" :rebel:
hopefully he will come out next season and my .270 will drop him in his tracks. :popc1:
i finally got back into hunting this season mostly becuase i was only working a part time job but i ended up sticking a nice doe in the beginning of the oct but i could not find her and every time i went to this same area i saw deer but they were either to far with a bow or were button bucks or spikes and i couldnt shoot a buck that small

I have trail pics of some of the biggest deer I have ever seen on my property in central SC. But they are all at night!!!!!:banghead: I haven't shot a deer in years, but I have passed up many does and small bucks. Yes I like to wait it out for the bigguns! One morning my wife's uncle gave me a doe tag to fill so he can have some meat. I sat one morning in a ground blind in a new stand of newly cut corn field. Saw a doe heading my way but lost her due to limited morning light, all I saw really was a siloette (sp), shw was b/ me and a street light 1/2 mile away. Got gun up but was too late, way early and foggy! A few minutes later a deer come out in front of me rushing from my right to left out of tree line. Still dark and foggy but it had four legs and a white tail and it was trotting. Got out about 150 yds and the .270 went off. Didn't know I shot it or what. still kinda dark and foggy, didn't know if it went off in the woods or what. 10 minutes later a small buck comes out from my right to left again. I passed him up, small 6pt. I need to feed him up this summer. But he went out to the spot I shot that deer. He was looking down bobbling his head up and down and then walked away quickly. Put the scope on it and sure enuff they was a white belly out in the field! I was stoked!!! Waited till 9am to go there and get my doe. But as I got closer I noticed horns.... As it turns out I shot a 145 lb 8pt with a small rack. I was mad!!! I have pics of him on my trail cam eating cob corn. It barely had 12" spread. I'm still kicking myself over that one. Lesson to be learned... don't shoot at 630am with fog thick as a knife! Made some got eatn though!! The wife will never know the secret to my spaghetti!!!!
