Sick Pony: 74' Sport Resto Mod for Trail and Street
#41
Thanks Broncomania!

Been away form the build for a while with everything going on lately, but i did a few small things this afternoon. i built and tacked in all but one of the spreader tubes for the cage, the last one will get done once i remove the cage to burn averything in. also had some steel delivered today, so i tinkered a little with some long arm brackets for the heims.

Also, i think i am going to place an order tomorow for the major components to get to a rolling chassis. Short list is a 3.5" lift, 2" body lift and disk brake kit from Tom's. i had toyed around with trying to do a junkyard/autozone disk brake swap, but i couldnt find enough of the parts in salvage. by the time i priced out everything i would have to buy, the kit was a better option. Also need to order the heims for the modded radius arms, and im looking at the steering link setup from ruff stuff as well.

pics coming when my phone decides its ready to actually send the pics to my email...

Hey - whose rear qs did you use and how did they fit?

they were from LMC Truck, and they fit ok... expect to have to trim the walls of the panel to fit... mine were too deep...

I ordered mine from jbg few years ago, now im trying to put them on and looks like im gonna have to do something special also. Body lines dont seem to be lining up and have to bend the panel to get matching radius as taillight piece and door. Thought bout trying a set of the scott drake ones. Thanks-yours looks great!

I got the mount brackets for my homebrew long-arms welded in yesterday, and got the rest of the frame coated with rust bullet today. not a lot of progress, but the best i could do in the heat...

i also got my shipment from toms and part of the order form ruff stuff... lift disc kit, and Body mounts, and the 1.25" heims...

here are some pics...
