I've had the bronco out in the neighborhood a few times, but nothing at speed until yesterday. Took a quick run to the nearest gas station, and got her up to 60 according to the speedo, prolly more like 50... noted a couple of issues:

1. Accidently had the hubs locked initially, and the front gearset is noisy! not sure if this is a dead indication of a problem, but definitley hope i dont need to use 4wd at speed anytime soon... chime in with concerns or suggestions... is this an indicator of an improper set-up? will i have problems crawling? any opinions or suggestions appreciated...

2. 435 is leaking. Gear Oil is leaking from where the adapter for the intemediate housing connects to the transmission, pretty much all the way around, just not form the top. Appears to be some blue rtv there that may be torn? didnt leak when static, but started dripping pretty good after first speed run. about a 3 inch circle after 10 mintues of sitting... my guess is it would stop after a while, but may be leaking harder while moving... Anybody know if a fresh sealant treatment is the cure, or is there a seal at the output that should be replaced?

3. Deiseling at shutdown... jsut for a second... usually 1 maybe 2 extra fires...

So Premium Gas may be an answer to the deiseling, other possibilities seem more labor intensive and possibly expensive.

435 appears to have a seal in the adapter, according to internet research... that sucks, means the trans has to come back down...

Ring & Pinion is still kinda up in the air... might let chuck have a look behind the cover if he's up for it...

if its dieseling when you shut it off, try backing down the timing some. where on the trans is gear oil coming out? as for the gears...did you set correct pinion preload? get a good back-lash? whats noisy? some brands will have a whine to them even set up properly.

Are you using the 2 wd np435? If so what adaptor are you using? Pretty curios about this seal I could find anything about but did not honesty look that hard. Cause mine leaks too but havnt worried to much about it.
