Sick Pony: 74' Sport Resto Mod for Trail and Street
Well, I think the EFI question is answered. I'm going to go with the Edelbrock E-Street kit. Hopefully I'll place my order in the next two weeks... This kit puts a mini fuel cell under the hood they call their fuel sump kit. mech pump feeds the sump, sump contains an in tank electric pump that feeds the throttle body. this lets me keep my dual tanks.

I can't wait!!!

Pulled the Trigger! Just ordered the Edelbrock EFI kit, and Summit threw in a free air cleaner... pics from summit below...

Also, some progress from a few weeks back, here's some pics of my new 12,000 lb HF winch, and a modified stock bumper to hold it up. It's the look I wanted, but I think i'm gonna add some beef to the backside of the bumper before URE...

Also got a stereo, a couple speakers, a CB, and a pair of wheel cylinders to get installed...

Thanks! SO i got all the nuts and bolts of the EFI install done. That part went very smoothly. I did booger up the first O2 bung, but sourced a new one, dropped the exhaust, and did it right the second time.
Pics coming...

However, the tuning effort was a lil disappointing. no problem with the software or user fiendliness. The issue is that the ECU needs a strong Tach signal. the kit includes a pigtail for my DUI(HEI) dizzy, which encouraged me that i was gonna be alright there. in reality, the ignition module i have doesnt send a strong enough tach signal for the ECU to recognize. this caused the engine to start and immediately stall, preventing me from completing the base tuning. called edelbrock and they recommended a $100 dollar MSD replacement module. I have no p[roblem buying the moduel if tis what i need but was a lil aggrevated by the fact that i had to find out this late in the install. i woulda bought it with the EFI if i had known. the real pisser is edelbrock knows. as soon as i told him i had no tahc signal, he asked if i was running an HEI. i posted a tactful yet pointed review on summit about this fact. i woudl definitely buy the system again, but would jsut wanna know that i needed that part. instructions don't even suggest it.

Anyway, rant over. hopefully ill have more progress to report, and pics up by Friday night. just cant find time to upload lately...
