No. I used the rubber run flats. I plan to upgrade tires next year and will do the PVC at the same time. Removing rubber run flats is a pain and they came installed.
I've been planning to stretch for a while now. The bronco kinda makes 8" the perfect amount just cause all the panels are about 8 inches. I plan to make a jig that ties all the spring hangars together in their current position so that when I cut them free the stay square. Then the jig and hangars just slide back 8" as an assembly. Re weld and voila... Stretch.
Got the passenger side fender wells out. Just got some cleanup and prep on the wells themselves and the remaining edges. Also need to fab some flat sheet panels to fill the new voids in front of the wells. Interior mod is bout half done.
Gotcha. The rubber inserts sitting there in the pics threw me off. Guess they are extras or something. I was wondering how you got them back in the tires once they are out. It takes a lot of creativity to get them out. I can't imagine trying to put them in a tire.
Are you shooting for 8" of rear stretch, or 8" between moving both the front and rear? Curious as the rear spring hangers are pretty far back from the factory and what your plans are for gas tank placement. Keep it up!
