The pinion ain't supposed to look like this, right?! :hysterical:

Stripped the pinion, warped the ring/carrier... ruh roh.

(Finally opened up the 8.8 on my 90 to see what happened. Wish I could claim it was on some sick rock challenge or some chebby rescue... but it wasn't.)

Um... Yeah... I sure didn't forget!

*hint* treat no leak as minor... Simply check any cover bolts if it's leaking. Not one dang bolt was more than finger tight! Grrrrr. :banghead:

Welp... I've ridden biatch in the k5 enough! Got a "new" axle coming... it'll be stock gears, so no 4wd for me for a bit... gonna get this "dependable" again and then do the head gaskets/starter on k5 and then put the Bus under the knife. Somewhere in there, this BB will be re-geared and locked in the rear. Sounds like no EB for me at URE again this Nov. grrr. (but you know what, when I have the joy of dragging the BB (upgraded) behind the bus again, I'll be a very happy camper - literally)!

Had a fun weekend with Shags and Gumby this weekend!

Swapped axles, threw a few hundred rounds down range, and a few cold beverages down...

Thanks, fellas! BB almost rolling again. :xyxthumbs:
