Fed up!!!!
#1
I am fed up with Charleston collision and progressive auto insurance!!! Three years ago I had somebody rear end my superduty going 50mph. Insurance company told me the process would go much smoother if it went to Charleston collision since they were a progressive shop. When all was said and done, My rear bumper, spare tire, rim, and spare tire carrier(yeah, she hit me hard enough to pop the cable) all had to be replaced. The bumper had pushed into the bed, causing a crease above the rear wheels. I fought to have the whole bed replaced as I knew this would cause problems. They assured me that it wouldnt, and I had a lifetime garauntee on all repairs. In the end, they sanded down the crease, and bondo'd the area and repainted the bed. Within a month of the work, the paint in the area started to bubble up. I took the truck back, and they repaired it again. In another month, the bubbles reappeared. This time Charleston collision told me that I had to contact the progressive agent. I have been back and forth with the progressive agent and Charleston collision for almost 2 years, and now Charleston collision is stating that they never repaired the area in the first place. I just lost it on the progressive agent to the point where she hung up on me. I then called the main office to continue my rant until they hung up on me. Guess the next step is either a lawyer, or pull my truck into one of their bays and light it on fire....

That does suck. I have Allstate- with a local rep. Had the big box/online insurance for a while and switched for the reasons you mentioned. Liberty Mutual seems to be a good company as well.

Let us know how it goes. That is pretty lousy on the part of both companies.
