My Silver '76
#1
I'm starting a build thread for my '76. I'm taking the Bronco out of daily driver status until I can make some things right, i.e. engine vibration, steering troubles, rear brakes. etc.etc. (it's a Bronco so I added an "Et cetera")Confusedupergrin: I'm in the process of parts collecting now. So far I have:

-1 ton steering conversion kit from Ruffstuff specialties.com with new tie rod ends, (I'm thinking I may want to do the tie rod flip over and that will require some addition parts.)

- new OEM power steering pump and hoses. possible return to Autozone and go with the Sagi conversion (again addition parts- brackets, pulley, belt)

coming soon: New flex plate-band aid fix? (maybe new engine :bangheadSmile, Dana 44 overhaul kit, Shocks and steering stabilizer.

The Overhaul kit is a little overkill, but... I do need all new bearings (I've had the truck 15 years and I've never done them)

The Saginaw pump is going to happen. Clay mentioned something about a Sagi pump out of a Lincoln for $40 at Advance.

Will u run hydroboost later? If so you will need dual return on back of Sagi.

So... I'm still collecting parts.

I just bought a Rampage soft top from a guy on Classic. It's Black with tinted windows and has the complete zip out windows for the Safari look.:xyxthumbs:

The top that I bought form Crawdad will be for sale soon.

Some more parts coming...

I just purchased a dual return Saginaw pump with the WH mounting bracket pulley and line adapter from a guy on Classic.

I also scored a lighted rear view mirror.

Still on the "to buy" list is:

Bearings/seals (all of the front end)
Bushings (not sure what I need yet)
Ball joints? (maybe)

I getting close to actually posting some build progress in this build thread.:xyxthumbs:

I think ur dual return may not work with the WH bracket. I bought that same set up and I had to notch out a section. Once I did that it fit perfect. I put mine on a mill and only took minutes to do. Check my thread on the power steerring and you will see.

Yeah Matt I read your power steering thread. I remember the problems you were having. Here is a pic of the parts I bought. You can see that the bracket has been notched already.
