My Silver '76
#11
OK folks, big news for my Silver '76!

Drum roll please...

I just bought a '91 302 EFI engine.

I have not yet picked it up from Atlanta. I'm trying to make some plans for a quick "pick-up" trip next weekend.

The engine is out of a Mustang that was intended for the PO's Bronco project that has been sold. It has been on a stand in his garage for the last year and a half. It has an upgraded B303 cam, and a fairly recent (30k miles ago) rebuild with new rods, pistons, rings and bearings. It also has Trick Flow upper and lower intakes. It will also come with the computer, the complete Mustang wiring harness and all the engine accessories, alternator, power steering pump, AC, and exhaust manifolds.

Oh yeah, and my Dad is giving me the bulk of the money for my Christmas present!, and my wife is covering the rest! and by the rest I mean she is not giving me any grief about buying more Bronco parts out tof the joint checking account. :xyxthumbs:

I got it! Chuck and I made the 12 hour drive to Atlanta and back on Saturday.

A special thanks to Chuck for driving the whole way (I kept asking but he wouldn't give up the driver's seat) and helping me secure and transporting this thing.:xyxthumbs:

Also a big thanks to Shawnboymoody for letting us borrow the Ranger pick up.:xyxthumbs:

The engine looks great! Here are some engine stand pictures, before and after a garage clean up.Confusedupergrin:[Image: efa3a555.jpg]

I think I may need to rename this Build thread to "My Stagnant '76".

I failed to post a while back that Chuck and I did install the Rampage top. It has been nice having a top this winter.

Although I have been collecting parts there has been no wrenching.

I did send my Mustang harness out to Kolibar to be reworked. It should be ready to be shipped back sometime late next week.

My 5.0 swap is on hold for now. I was getting ready to ask Chuck if he wanted to start pulling the engine this weekend. Then 10 minutes later my boss walks up to my desk and says he needs me to work in Idaho for the next 2 months. :banghead:

Nice.

A buddy called me today. His boss walked up to him at 5:30 last night and said that they'd need to ship my buddy to India for a month, leaving Sunday. I guess there is something to be said for leaving at 4:30pm Confusedcratchhe:

Oh, and when you get back from ID, we're going to need to move you to Storage Room B, yeah..
