Yeah, it wasn't worth a picture
FYI, we (most of us) had a good time a URE as well. I say that because a certain aforementioned Che**y product had a transfer case split in half right by Kodak rock. Chuck and Moody were driving to Florence or somewhere today to get another case for it and were going to try and get it installed today. Called chuck but didn't get him. Don't know how they are making out.
The trails were muddier than I thought they'd be. It was actually nice to have to use 4wd a good part of the time, vs running in 2wd just about everywhere. It wasn't so messy that the trails were getting torn up, but it was challenging. We got stuck in a traffic jam Sat night at the bottom of the hill on Dutch John. I think we sat there for 2 hours waiting for people to get up it. Needless to say, all of us walked right up...
The trails were perfect today. No dust, tacky, and the weather was beautiful. Only trouble we had was Biff's truck starving for fuel on the rocky hill climb on Dikey Bell. He was almost to the top, too. Nick H dragged him up the hill with a tow strap. I was impressed.
It was a good time this weekend. Hope all can say that! Chuck and Moody, if you can see this, you're welcome to crash here tonight if you need to.
I hate that I miss it. But with me and my son Birthday rolling on the weekend of the show it kind of is hard for me to tell the family no party for Garrett. But hope to make it next year.
Thanks for the pic.
There was no uncuts there? I seen none in the pic.
awesome time at meet and greet!!! thanks again to everyone that came out to make this happen. cant say enough to the vendors that support us every year!!!
good time at URE...however, like bart said, shawn's k5's np208 split in half. our buddy from chucktown had the right 208. he was able to meet us in florence. we meet at florence the exact same time-perfect timing. we got back to ure, swapped the tcase, got cleaned up,ate some food, and pulled out at 7:30! everything was going good til we got to darlington. my LP holley crapped out! we tried to clean it,force it to run, and in the end...we gutted it out-removing the rotor and veins -basically making it hollow since we had to bypass it. that got us going and i was still able to hold 70mph on the road. ill be rethinking this fuel system!! cant say enough bout having a fuel pressure gauge to know exactly whats going on!!!!

Man, what a good time!! The only issue we Wilson's had was gettin' there!! GPS showed arrival time of 10:01 When we pulled out at about 4:45. I was expecting to slip to 11:00, but 1 pm? 85 SUCKED !!!!!!! We got to 40 miles from Carpenters and pretty much STOPPED DEAD!! Took and hour to get to 39 miles from destination. My lucK held out for the raffel...there was some great prizes, sorry to the winners for some of my drool on them!! Wife and kids REALLY enjoyed Carpenters Museum and the hospitality! Really enjoyed our short time there and chatting with all of ya!!
....Next time I'm going with plan "A" leaving the night before and get a head start on the fun!! Second time for the M&G and I think it is going to make the list for TRADITION. The first one was follower by Dinner at the Lube which was good but BOONDOCK's ROCKS! We had a gorgeous evening for a ride and fantastic company for some grub. See another tradition here....and no dishes to clean before the wheelin' begins!!
