i dont have shoulder belts yet...just retractable lap. but, im keeping my eye open for some from jeep wrangler. i was at lkq a while back and saw the TJ seat belts would probably work great. however, one front belt was missing and the covers for the rears were missing too...so i passed on it-hoping to find a complete set

I have been down the child seat road. Mine are 3 and 5 and will be in child seats for a while and I do not foresee anyone, other than my kids, sitting in the the back. I fabbed up at LATCH system using stainless U-bolts and flat stock run behind the rear bench for the two seat straps and on the tailgate for the upper restraint. It works really well and I am pleased with the results considering both are in a 5-point harness.
Future expansion will be necessary when my oldest outgrows the 5-point. A shoulder harness will be necessary and I have decided the 2011 Excursion middle seat is perfect. You can fit two side by side and come with built in LATCH and shoulder belts.
