Looks great but the way the front halo ties into the middle hoop seems to be asking to get hung on a tree. I'm certainly no cage expert. Just my 2 cents

Appreciate it! I've got most of the dimensions written down. The dimensions will vary though with material selection and die radius. I am using a 2" die with a 6" CLR that has a measured CLR of 7.0" with the DOM tube I have. (CLR- center line radius). All of my tubing lengths and bends are calculated off of this.

My design isn't copyrighted so copy away. It isn't really even anything that I designed, it is a combination of a few cage designs I've seen. Just enough not to infringe on anyone, kinda like those 3rd grade book reports...

Chuzie, you are right in that there is a potential for something to get caught around the top of the halos. If that happens, I'm going to blame it on you... It is a good point though and one I gave some thought to. My racer is built somewhat similar to this and I've rubbed up against my fair share of trees with it. So far, it hasn't been too much of an issue. This truck hopefully won't be leaning hard against any trees. I do have some more tube to add to it to help with the 'voids' in the halo.

Got a little more work done. I'm starting on the seat support structure. Here are a few pics of the rear section getting started.

Figured I'd throw in a pic of the new front seats as well.

My plan is to tie the rear tube that goes across the floor into the rear body mount bolts to make an easy frame tie in for the rear section, versus running tube all the way to the corners of the back of the tub. There isn't much room to work with back there.

Here are a few pics of some new goodies. Got some quarter panel guards from Duff's and some marine speakers and Kicker Amp from a marine dealer here in NC. Gotta have some loud tunes to overpower the diesel...

Today I spent some time with a couple of well known tools- the grinder, the sawzall, and a hammer. I now have a removable front apron. Good times!

Downer to that is that I will have to do some fab work to put the front apron back on. I am planning on making some brackets to have it bolt on and off, for ease of doing work in the future. I hate the welded on apron when it comes to doing bigger repairs.

Looking good. I would ditch the bar in the back. I would think constantly having to lift stuff over the the bar to load and unload would be a pain. If your plan is to build some fairly stout bumpers, you could tie the rear cage into the bumper (just an idea). With a mid-cage to frame tie-in and the front cage tied in I would think it would be plenty for the passenger compartment.

I like the idea of attaching at the bumper. How would that routing work though?
