Black Valentines Day
#1
Well Scott and I went to work..only to find some idiot turned some ball valves on and some off-only to cause one helluva mess! There is enough virgin black ink to fill 10- 55gal drums. We are waiting for a pump tomorrow morning to begin the clean up. Probably $2000 in ink and another $5000 in clean up.Here's some pics!

what you are seeing is, we were running the press on the green tank. Someone came in and changed the supply from the green to the blue. The problem is, the bypass and return were still going to the green. So basically they pumped all the ink from the blue into a 1/2 filled green tank. Did I mention the blue tank was full before this happened? Be sure to call me tomorrow, so I can try to answer the phone, but instead drop it into the black ink c'mon.

oh yeah, just for size...the framing(I-beams under the tanks) are 10 or 12 " tall...thats pretty deep.worst one I've seen and I've seen this 3 times over 18 years.

Of what I know and I could be wrong but there is no easy clean up procedure is there. I would have to make that person stay at work until it was completely cleaned up. Crazyness. Good luck with it.

Suddenly keeping our lake clean does not seem as challenging anymore Tongue

You're not right Chuck.

That looks like a disaster to clean up.
