Congrats on getting the tons. If you are looking to do the CAGE arms, check on ClassicBroncos (vendor/mass buy section). Lou Levy has a mass buy going on for the arms with the weld on axle attachment. If you are not in a huge hurry to get them, you can probably have them delivered to him and pick them up from the MEB Hooters get together in January to save some shipping.

Chuck - Here are a few pics I have from during the build and the last 3 are ones that I took tonight. Mine are only tacked on for now - should have them final welded in the next weekend or two since my next step is finishing the front end.

It wasn't really hard, just a PITA. We just used the top of the king pin as our reference for caster. That's why it's just tacked for now since we did that so early on and were not positive we had the caster right. I checked it yesterday at it's 5 deg. both sides. I think we'll end up leaving it there and call it good.

Chuck - You can see how we did it in the install pics. We kind of backed into it by mounting the arms to the frame first and bringing the axle to it. Ratchet straps made it a whole lot easier and helped suck the axle tube up into the bracket real nice. If I remember right, it was harder getting both arms in the same place (or distance from the knuckle) than it was getting the caster set on them.

I took a several week break from working on the Bronco but got back on it this weekend. I had a near death experience on Friday evening - cutting the tack welds off of the arm brackets with no trac-bar is not a good idea - while I was under the truck it sprung about 1.5 feet to the drivers side and the springs looked like spaghetti noodles. I was cutting the tacks loose so that we could rotate the pinion up some and get a better driveline angle before final welding it.

Yesterday we got the cage weld on brackets burned on for good mokin: and the axle back under the truck. Today I played around with the steering to get the angles more parallel. I moved the drag link to the top of the drop pitman arm and tacked a homeade trac-bar riser in place. I've got a stock trac bar in in for now and may even leave it - see no reason why it won't be ok after I do some extra welding on the factor trac bar bracket for extra safety.

I have a concern about the trac bar riser - it sits directly under the frame and there's only 6" between the top of riser and bottom of frame. I see that becoming a problem when I stuff the pass front tire cratchhe:
