Anyone got any creative fuel pickup ideas? I'm planning on running the pickup and rollover vent in the top two fittings and return to the bottom fitting.

I know that Holley used to make a kit that had two separate pickups that you could put in opposite corners and they were connected into one line with a valve to prevent sucking air in off-camber positions. Holley has discontinued that part # though.

Got to work on the fuel cell mounting a little. It's gonna fit, but it sure is tight. 2" of body lift and it'll clear and fit entirely under the bed - using the channel that the rear body mounts bolt to as room to plumb the fuel lines!

Our original angle iron mount idea was a good thought, just not quite right. We're cutting it off and going back with a different bracket that will bolt to the bottom of the frame just like the stock tank, but you can see that we made it to fit the contour of the bottom of the frame.

I've still got some grinding and cleaning to do on it, but it won't be much more work and she'll be bolted on and ready to be plumbed up upergrin:

Thanks John! My goal is to have it together and test-runs before this year's Fawl Crawl in October. It may be together by then, but affording the gears, lockers, and coilovers by then is a different storycratchhe: After those, a STaK case upergrin:

Looks like they made the part for Holley before Holley discontinued them and the product has since been improved. Every tech article I find where people used the Holley set-up says that it is awesome. Pricey, but not as bad as it could be.

Almost finished with mounting the fuel cell upergrin:

You can see in the pics how we cut the angle iron and bent it to match the contour of the frame. 5 bolts in each side to hold it on there and a strap to go over the top. The orange paint is to mark the holes to drill and tap.

2" of body lift will make it clear, but we'll probably go 2-1/2 to be safe. The pickup fits perfectly in the channel that the rear body mounts bolt to which buys the room to fit a 90 deg. AN fitting.

All we lack is tapping the frame now and then we'll plumb the fuel lines and brake lines. Now we gotta get back to work on that body so we can get it on the chassis!

That's not right Chuck :finger: We have been both busting our butts on it though upergrin:

It is coming together fast but the funds aren't going to last much longer. The big money items are coming up fast - coilovers, gears, lockers, seats, tube, driveshafts, etc.

We've got to get the floorpans in and some more rust patching in the bed and then it'll be time to spray the bottom of the body with bed-liner and set it on the chassis.
