Are you wanting a stock box or the truck box? I think I have an extra truck box at the house.

Pics to come tonight, The sector shaft isn't even bent, like they said. Tooth broke off a scratch up the case. Theses guys were total scammers in my opinion.

Did you send it to west texas off road? If so, I have heard nothing but positive things about them and have used them personally in the past. This is certainly a bad experience and I hope an isolated one.
Did you get the box back? Are you saying they put the same bad shaft with the broken tooth that was in there when you sent it to them in the first place? If so, that is a major foul. What, if anything, are they doing to rectify the situation? Please keep us posted. We need to know if there is a bad vendor out there. This is certainly a bad experience and I hope an isolated one. Yes it was West texas offroad, and They will never see a dime from me again. Supposedly it was a new sector shaft, but Im not a 100% sure. After looking at the shaft that was less then 2 months old it has odd pitting on it. They also told it was bent and had to be cut out. I left my phone at home or I would post pics. At first they would only give me 160 back for the rebuild because the owner told me he did want to lose his ass on it. After talking to my credit card company, I called him back a few times and he took all the markup out of the parts and managed to get roughly over half of my money back. I took it honestly cause I was tired of dealing with it them. I had read the reviews about them on line and thought they were good. After talking to people about this situations,it appears to be a normal thing with that company. Worst part the more resarch I do is there other companies that do this for cheaper. For 50 bucks more than I have in a rebuild, I found a company to build me a brand new Saginaw box.

Well that certainly explains why you didn't reply to my text earlier. Anyway, I am extremely disappointed to hear about what happened. I was really hoping it was with a different vendor. So are you saying that you found a vendor to rebuild the damaged box?
I think this is a great opportunity for you to let everyone know here, on classic and even on pirate about your experience so we can prevent this from happening again and the future. I am confident had you known about other people's experiences similar to your own you certainly would not have gone down this path. I am surprised the business owner chose not to refund 100% of your money. A small loss on his part what has been well worth preventing the PR disaster that is forthcoming should you choose to move forward.
