Messed up steering box
#1
So here are some of the pictures of the blown up steering box. After looking at it I'm pretty sure it was old tooth on "brand new" sector shaft. Funny thing talked to psc today about some different option, brought up my broke box. They mentioned that it was almost impossible to have a brand new sector shaft, since they haven't made them since the 70-80s. So yeah feel like I got taken.

Box is toast unless they can magically sleeve the damaged wall.
Worm shaft is doneski.
Sector shaft (drive gear): Where is the missing tooth? I don't see any debris. Am I to understand they stuck a sector shaft with a missing tooth back in the box and sent it to you as rebuilt?

I agreed on about half money back after going back and forth on them. After I threatend to have the credit card company go after them. I was honestly tired of dealing with them. But looking at the part I wish I had the let them go after them like credit card wanted too.

This is supposed to be a new sector shaft, I at least paid for one and was told multiple times it was new. But have never seen a new shaft that was pitted either.

I bet they will refund the remaining amount if you post your experience on various boards and email the links to the owner.

Kinda glad I did not send mine to them now. I am still running the Lucas Fluid with stop leak and the leak is slowing down some. Maybe it will seal off in 4 or 500 more miles.

Remember to keep topping it off with the Lucas instead of PS fluid until it stops leaking.
