I think the spiders are not active. didn't see the point in it...does it matter?cratchhe:

well spiders as i understand them gather info for serch engines like yahoo etc. so if someone is looking for info on say..rockies in an EB if you have those terms in a thread or something it will show up in his search resultin in a better chance he gets directed to your site. its not something you turn on or off. they show as guests thus why you had 135 members online at one point. we had 155. it was when we were new and it was spiders gathering info. what you turn on or off is wether they are shown as guests or spiders. so if you see 10 guests online it might be 6 spiders and 4 actual guests. just a little more accurate on your numbers. i could be totally wrong but this is how it was explained to me..
