Power line legalities?

Jessica and I just purchased 15 acres with a power line running through it. Fortunately, we've got a plan in mind and the easement will not effect our location of a house or shop, but it's still a nuissance. We drew the new property line through one of the power poles so that we share that part of the easement with the adjacent property owner, but we still have another couple hundred feet of line on our property that we can't do anything with.

I'm going to test the limits when I put up a fence across the easement and see what happens :rebel:
