Well I finally was able to pick up the torque converter to flexplate adapter.
I will have approximately .050" pullback on the torqueconverter after install...hope that is okay.. Attached are a couple of photos of it.

Now I just need to pick up (4) high tensile strength 3/8-24 12point or (hex) nuts in the Charleston, SC area.. Lowe's has some grade 8 but in course not fine thread.. Any idea where I might purchase them in the area??? Could not find what I needed from Summit or Jegs... I hope to take a vacation day Friday and install the C4...

A buddy of mine helped me reinstall the rebuilt C4 back in the Bronco today. Prior to his arrival, I reworked the new torque converter/flexplate adapter.. It was not pulling up tight against the torque converter end face. After it was fixed.. I had 110" of pull back from the converter to the flexplate. I think that should be fine. We ran some Jegs blue hose & 6AN fittings for the new B&M racing cooler. We shall see how well it works. The Art Carr reverse manual shift valve body seems to work fine. It's a real challenge with the Ford/Cummins adapter housing to fasten the flexplate bolts. Thanks Chuck..The folks at Warren Fastenings had what I need. The complete bottom side of the bell housing to the 4bt Ford/Cummins housing is enclosed. You only have a 1 1/2" hole about half way up the bell housing to install the bolts. (for you Cummins guys it near where your fuel filter is located on your 5.9s..but the hole might not be there on your adapters) All seems to be fine except a small drip from the pan. I guess... I did not straighten the trans pan out well enough around the holes before putting it back to together... I might try to bridge a couple of pan bolts with a strap plate and torque the fasteners again...If that does not work ... I will run it for awhile and dump the transmission fluid and try to fix the leak in the future. When I drove it up & down the street I could see the need for one of those Winters gated shifters!

The little motor has a lot of torque... no problem leaving in 3rd gear from a stop. Of course.. I should not do that very often...

Next....
I have been running a short dump pipe off of the turbo. It is actually not that loud... the turbo really helps to quiet it down. Hope to install the exhaust on Saturday... Should be a major challenge to fab it up... If all goes well then on Sunday I will install the 12 gallon auxiliary tank that BroncoWard sold me..... But I always over estimate what I can get done...Confusedcratchhe:

Darn... I just received a Dodge Cummins 4" exhaust kit 2 weeks ago... That was the lowest cost way to go vs buying individual pieces and/or having a shop bend 4" exhaust pipe for me... I might need another bend... so don't throw it out..
