SC74 Wrote:Travis - What is the background of the "Tire Station" club? Where does the name originate? Is it all guys local to you?

Yeah we're all local to the Asheville area, for the most part. Well we're most just a group of friends. A good friend of mine Ricky and his brother Robbie ( the 2 4runners) started a tire shop called The Tire Station. Robbie later went to work for a tire distributor and Ricky still runs the business today. They've had all kinds of play toys over the years. Around 2000ish they both had low 10 sec mustangs. Somewhere along the line one of them thought it would be a good idea to run the business name on their vechicles thus tire Station racing was born. the stickers were put on just about every vechicle and toy they have owned including vechicles they bought to resell. Somewhere in there all of their close friends began to run the stickers on all their rides as well. I have stickers on my powerstroke, mustang , and my bronco. I guess thats how the rest of it got going. We're just a group of friends with the same interests and like to help our buddy advertise his business although we have talked about becomeing an actual club so we could do things like donate to sfwda and ufwda under the Tire Station name. But, any where we go as a group people know were all together.

As a side note Ricky is also a dealer for 4x4 parts, desiel performance parts adn pretty much anything else we play with. If your up around Asheville and need something give him a shout. He's in the book. or hollar at me and i'll see if he can get what you need.
