Aaron is the man, I dont have a shop to try and touch a tranny right now. Once I get some benches built maybe I would. Auto trans are not that hard you just need to keep it clean and get the right case measurements.
How ever you do it try and stick with name brand rebuilt kits.
Lets face it, you get what you pay for. I have had cheap kits and been very sorry for it(most recent build on my spare c4 for example'.
Full kevlar bands and clutches, there are a few comanys offering heavy duty bearings for the C4(Corr trans found some for me), a manual vavle body(art Carr comes to mind) and a good shifter.
The spud shaft(I called it the intermediat shaft) is hard to come by.
The other part is extra coolers, you can never have enoough!

I just picked this on up this morning. Its out of a '69 F100 2wd. It has a short fixed yoke which work really well with high HP/Torque engines. Came standard with the "H" servo, hardened input shaft, and the tough pan fill design.

Ouch, but at least Drew has one for ya... Where's he located? Might ask in the hauling section of nc4x4 and see if anyone's coming through... I had a good response, but my in-laws worked out best for me.

I have a bid in on one on ebay for $150.00 with a dana 20 plus shipping. Auction ends in 6 days.
There are two other options but a little pricey. I was going for the low budget build since I was going to have it rebuilt for racing. I have a badass Art Carr shifter and reverse valve body for it already.
Come on Aaron don't tease me. Work me a deal. Save me some shipping and traveling time.
